The epigraph from DFW's The Pale King. It takes a second to realize this is the perfect motto for a novel about the IRS. A novel about the IRS! My trusty library has one copy and there are 58 holds on that one copy. So, lemme ask you, #58, when you log on the library's website and see there are 57 holds, you're feeling hopeful? Patient?
